I have an allotment, and have a lot of trouble with foxes digging up, and sampling my root vegetabes ( carrots/ potatoes /beetroot), making them unedible for human consumption. Does anyone know of any foolproof, or just good ideas that will keep them away please?

Hi John,
You might try using pepper, the only problem would be keeping it dry.

John, however I wrap this up it is going to sound facetious. In Herts we have regular visits from foxes and at the other place I was at before this one they made regular visits searching for food. At the same time causing damage. My neighbour below
used to put out a cooked joint or part of it and that worked. You see what I mean about facetious !
I have a friend in Skipton - Yorkshire and she has an allotment. Rabbits are her plague and the local council try to help but in the end the rabbits generally win. Let's face it nature has a big enemy in the human race - look at the rain forests.
