Does the elephant recipe work equally well with wildebeest? I much prefer it to warthog.

Steak On The Go.

One nice steak of your choice.
One onion finely chopped.
Garlic clove, sliced fine.
Tomato sliced thin.
Knob of butter.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Tin foiL
A short length of wire.

Method.
Lightly rub inside of tinfoil with the knob of butter.
Place steak on tin foil.
Garnish with garlic, onions,tomato.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Wrap tinfoil around steak so you have a leak proof package.
Tie package onto car exhaust manifold with the wire.

On arrival at destination, remove package from manifold, open package and enjoy your meal.

Note to Hank :)
Can tie to the rear of your pony, as close to the begining of the tail as possible.

This will keep you busy on a cold winter evening. A very large pan is recommended, and you will have plenty of tasty sandwich filling left over..

Ingredients

1 Elephant
10 Warthog
100 kilogram tomatoes
half ton potatoes
2 bags onions
100 kilogram salt
1 wheelbarrow onions (heaped)
10 liter vinegar
20 liter chutney
4 Guineafowl

Method

Hunt the elephant, warthog and guineafowl. Hang guineafowl to ripen. Cut elephant into edible chunks, (will take about a month). Boil the warthog with other ingredients (except guineafowl) till nice and juicy. Now boil elephant chunks over high flames till tender. (will take about 4 weeks) and add everything together. Boil for another 5 to 7 days.

Produces about 3,500 helpings.

Note: If the above isn't enough, add the guineafowl as well.

Just solved my runny casserole using your tip Hank - brilliant! I started cooking it later than I should have and had to thicken it quickly in time for my son's imminent arrival.
I'm off to lay the table. Cheers.

Just an add-on to the scrambled eggs......my daughter tells me that a teaspoon of mayonnaise stirred into the whisked egg before you nuke it makes it really creamy.
Best

If you'd something diffent to go with your bacon and eggs, try this:

A portion of a pepper, cut into small cubes.
Spring onions, finaly chopped,
A couple of tinned toms, cut into small pieces,
Salt and pepper to taste (if you want)
add a couple of desert spoons of the tom juice,
put all this in a microwave bowl and cover,
cook in microwave until most of the juice has evaporated to a thick paste,
then serve with your breakfast.

Cheers

John I've done that many times but you must Keep stirring every minute and it does not burn as can happen with a saucepan. --- Hank

You are in a hurry the casserole is almost ready but the liquid is too runny !
Reach for that pack of potato flakes you never use. Sprinkle them in the stew and stir and very soon the liquid thickens - cheap packs work just as well --- Hank
