Hi all - I'm lucky enough to live in Bude - winner of the West, and with 2 residents coming 1st and 2nd in the invidual gardens. We had a presentation yesterday of the certificates and prizes, followed by a discussion on what we would spend our prize on. We decided on an arbour, so residents could sit out in the summer under the shade of the clematis - or whatever we decide to grow over the top. What have others decided to do with their prize vouchers?

Hi Dean,
Another group that entered last year and probably would be keen to enter again are the residents at Lea View. They have created a beautiful front garden brimming with vibrantly coloured flowers and vegetables. We are hoping to carry out some work on their back garden and the gardens at the far end too, to make them more accesible for the residents to use. I'll mention this group to them and hopefully they can get access to the internet.

Hi Dean
Another great idea. I would suggest forwarding this to David Anker david.anker@hanover.org.uk as he has some residents at Plumpton who are keen gardeners. I will try to find out whether anyone at The Lawns is on the web as they are also busily gardening away!
And I know there are more, but am not sure whether they are online...
I'll drop a line to all housing managers anyway
