Highland Park 12 year old

Tasted Sept 09.

Colour; Warm light brown

Nose: Woody and sweet, lingering musky peat.

Taste; Full, peaty, smoke in there somewhere, very nice.

Aftertaste; Wonderful, all around the mouth. Loved it.

This whisky is made in Orkney, I would love to try the 18 year old which was voted best in the world in 2005...

Irish Whisky 2 Replies

Has anyone heard of an Irish whisky called Cutty Sark it used to be my late husbands favourite but do not know if it is still in production does anyone know? Do not know whether it is a malt or not.
