Hanover World

This is the Penlee lifeboat station halfway between Newlyn and Mousehole where on the 19th December 1981 the RNLI Solomon Browne was launched to rescue a tramp steamer. the Union Castle, which floundered on the rocks at Tater Du, just east of Lamorna....sadly, all hands on both ships were lost at sea....
