I think lion or tiger poo from your nearest zoo might be effective - not sure what effect it would have on your veggies though! Maybe just put it around the edge of your plot? It would only bother them whilst it was fresh, I guess, so it is only a temporary measure. Why not pose the question on the Discussions tab.......you might be surprised at the answers you get!! .
