Sorry for being so slow answering, I was away at the weekend. I worked in Cornwall for a time, the rugged beauty of the geohraphy is endearing in itself, the life stye seems timeless and more serene than the big cities. It sounds as if you had a good relationship with your gran. I recall I always thought mine to be very wise. Talk later. Alan.

Wow! lots there. If you were to pick one time in your life that you remember most fondly, what would that be? For me it would be school days, The study of others gives insight to ourselves, and I think there is no greater knowledge. Alan.

Alan, How age related? Think age changes us to the people we are now by what we have experienced.Though not sure we ever change basically. Know I dont very often let people see what I consider the real me. But who knows perhaps I do without knowing it.

Pamela, Yes people often talk in defence. Protecting the personality they need to project to feel safe. This seems to be a problem for those "labelled" by society. And is to some extent age related. We are made to feel insecure. When do we change from the people we were, to the people society expects us to be. ?? Talk soon Alan.

Hi Pam, welcome to Hanoverworld, I hope you enjoy the site and make lots of new friends. A good way to get started is to leave comments on other peoples profiles, photos, discussions etc you find interesting. Within the groups section there is a group called 'Help! how to use this site' which you may find useful if you get stuck.
