Hi John, I do remember meeting you, and your views at the repairs project meetings did have an impact, as senior management rethought our strategy regarding using one main contractor and we are now going to continue using local contractors and those agreed with residents. I realise that you are a homeowner so use this process already, but your views have helped those residents on rented estates. We do have an officer who is responsible for leading on Health & Safety, based in our Staines office. However, as I'm sure you know already the Hanover Board and Bruce Moore have ultimate responsiblity, but for operational purposes this is devolved down through lines of management. I think the best person for you to talk to about Health & Safety issues is your Estate Manager or Retirement Housing Manager in the first instance. If you are not happy with the responses they are giving you, or our policies, you should contact our comments, compliments and complaints team who will discuss your issue with you and arrange for the most appropriate member of staff to respond. They also log all comments, compliments and complaints so we can highlight where there are themes that need addressing and that we learn from mistakes we make.

Sorry this may not be the answer you were looking for, but I am trying to steer you in a direction of contact that will have the most impact on our policies if they are not correct or could be amended to suit residents better.

John, do you attend your local residents' forum? This is another way that you can ask senior members of management questions. Let me know, as if not, I'm sure I have your telephone number on file, so will give you a call and explain how you can attend.

As I may have mentioned before, I am feeding back up to senior management that Health & Safety is an issue for many residents that use Hanover World, but am struggling to tell them exactly what the issues are. So I'd be grateful for any further feedback you can give me.
Best wishes Ruth
